Freelance UX and UI design for LOQBOX — a fintech platform helping people build their credit score by saving. Built upon the team’s MVP and branding to design the v2 UI component system, validated through user research and launched in both UK and US markets.
Winner of the BIMA Social Impact Award.

The challenge
As a freelancer, build upon the existing MVP and branding into a full UI component system for v2. The platform needed to feel trustworthy and clear — users were making financial decisions — while being immediately accessible to people who had previously struggled with credit.
Design process
Deep understanding of their users and product through research enabled confident design of the key user flows, followed by a rapid prototype ready for user testing.
A new UI design system was presented to the C-suite to secure buy-in for the updated experience and the operating principles of the new UI — clearly communicating the direction before investment in build.
Working collaboratively with the engineering team throughout, the process kept their work as simple as possible and ensured they were genuinely bought into the approach.

The CreditBuilder setup guides users through creating an account and configuring their saving schedule. The payment calendar makes the commitment concrete and legible — users can see exactly when payments fall and what they’re working toward.
Impact
Helping people improve their lives with a successful fintech platform that launched in UK and US markets.
Now the software is not only beautiful and usable, but has developed it's own unique character.
