Tales from the UOC is a participatory storytelling project exploring speculative futures through collective narrative. Participants contribute to a growing body of stories that imagine different relationships between people, technology, and the living world.
The work draws on traditions of oral storytelling, speculative fiction, and co-design — using narrative as a design tool to surface values, anxieties, and possibilities that conventional research methods can miss.
The approach
Participatory design and speculative storytelling as research methodology. The project runs workshops, collects contributions, and weaves them into a publicly accessible archive of possible futures.
Co-R&D work — developed collaboratively with participants as co-authors rather than as subjects.
